A Knight of Gin and Jazz

Thank you to everyone who kicked their heels up at "A Knight of Gin & Jazz". It was wonderful to gather again in-person to celebrate the many accomplishments of Visitation Catholic School. This year's auction was a tremendous success!

Attendees of this year’s auction enjoyed live jazz from Portland Standard Time, beer provided and poured by Slowdrift Brewing who also served up a delicious selection of wines. Chef Gabriel, of OutAZABlue, who put together a detectible menu. We also had raffles, a photo booth, lots of laughs and catching up.

I know I speak for the entire auction committee when I say thank you for the support. I would like to thank all of the volunteers that made "A Knight of Gin & Jazz" possible. Without their dedication and support, this event simply could not happen and grow each year in the way that it does.

I would like to thank Father Michael, Carol, our generous sponsors, the parishioners, parents and the Visitation faculty and staff for their dedication to the students, for whom we do all of this for.

A very heartfelt thank you to the entire auction committee. Extra special thank you to my co-chair Amy Patton for being the idea sounding board; Megan Lepschat for her indispensable auction knowledge; Lisa Lederbrand for tirelessly being both the data and basket queen; Sarah Crosby for being the silent auction master; Emily Jansen, our 2021 chair, for letting me follow her into the madness; Genelle Duyck for her willingness to be my directory and for expertly coordinating the volunteers and kitchen; and Christy Duyck who is responsible for so much more of this amazing night than most of you will ever know from the decor to kitchen coordination. Thank you to Carolanne Myers for coordinating all of the raffle sales and working on the live auction with Emily; Janna Brown for doing a million tasks, all with a smile, and getting all the registration packets together; Jeanette Plep for her wisdom in Greater Giving; Sara Marshall for reminding me of many things I would have forgotten and handling social media; Regina McCloud, Tiffany Evey, Jill Verboort and Christy again for their amazing procurement efforts; Hallie Puncochar for putting the auction book together. I can’t forget Peter Bower and Mike Weber for the IT support.

As usual, our auctioneer, Mark Kuhn, was amazing and encouraged us all to raise those bid numbers high for VCS!

Holly Zander,

2022 Auction Chair
